Corby Town are appealing for help after their home ground was broken into twice over the last weekend.

Over Saturday night/Sunday morning, thieves broke into the ground and smashed the door to the managers office, smashed up the pool table in the downstairs bar and the bandit in the Steelmens sports bar and stole speakers and a music system.

On Sunday night/Monday morning, there was a lot more damage inflicted on Steel Park. Flat Screen televisions were stolen from the upstairs and downstairs bar, strimmers from the groundstaff shed among other items.

The real sickner for the football club though is the amount of damage that has been caused. The vandals have caused damage to the two bar's, the groundstaff shed, the laundry room, baxters refreshment shed and the board room.

We are appealing to the local community for anybody with any information to come forward and help us find the thugs who have done this.

Corby Town FC is a community club, sides ranging from u9's through to the adult first team in for both males and females.

As most fans and supporters know the club is run by hard-working volunteers who give up their spare time to move the Steelmen forwards. We are all deeply saddened by this news.

Anyone with any knowledge of the burglary can e-mail the club at info@corbytown.co.uk, or call Northamptonshire Police on the 101 non-emergency number or by ringing Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
