WELLINGBOROUGH 0 CORBY TOWN 3

the loose ball fell to Jamie Anton, whose effort found the net.

Corby Town maintained their 100 per cent pre-season record with this comfortable win at the Dog and Duck. With several senior players - plus manager Steve Kinniburgh - absent stand-in boss Graham Leech took the opportunity to give some game time to a number of promising youngsters.
It was while Corby had their first choice selection on the pitch, however, that most of the damage was done. After just five minutes Zac Allen played the ball to Jordon Crawford on the right corner of the penalty box and his low shot beat goalkeeper Justin Greatorex as it arrowed into the bottom corner of the net.
Ten minutes later a spell of patient passing play ended with Crawford's through ball finding Tela Trivelato and the young forward finished confidently.
Corby's third goal came in the 53rd minute from a left wing corner. Jake Bettles had a shot blocked and the loose ball fell to Jamie Anton, whose effort found the net via a slight deflection off the ankle of Doughboys' defender Jake Gillingwater.
Wellingborough rarely threatened Dan Smith's clean sheet while Allen, Bettles and young substitute Hilton Arthur all had good opportunities to add to the Steelmen's total.
