Biography

A Cambridge-born defender, Miles began his career as an apprentice with West Ham United and was given his first taste of senior football at the age of 18 during a loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers towards the end of the 2010/11 season. During the summer of 2011 he was released by the Hammers and joined Chertsey on a free transfer. In November, 2011 he moved on to Farnborough and a year later joined Cambridge City.
Miles joined Histon for the first time in September, 2013 but made only a single appearance before moving on to Bury Town in November, 2013. He returned to Histon in December, 2014 and went on to make 16 appearances in 2014/15. One of those games was the Easter Monday fixture against Corby Town which the Steelmen won 2-1 en route to lifting the Southern League championship. Miles didn't play the full ninety minutes, however, as he was sent off!
That season Miles also swapped his boots for a suit and tie to join a nationally recognised apprentice scheme in the recruitment department at Cambridge Universal Hospitals (CUH).
Next stop for Miles on the football pitch was Kettering Town, whom he joined in July, 2015. Whilst with the Poppies he had a loan spell with Soham Town but in November, 2015 he left Kettering to rejoin Histon.
Miles ended 2015/16 back at Soham Town and he also played for Biggleswade Town and St Neots before joining Corby Town in December, 2016. He was a first team regular in the number two shirt for the remainder of 2016/17 and in May, 2017 agreed to re-sign for the new season.
