Welcome to Corby Town, Jack Turner

Corby Town have signed Centre Back Jack Turner on loan from Stratford Town for the remainder of the 22/23 season.

Jack began his youth career with Cardiff City before signing across the Severn Bridge for rival club Bristol City where he spent his youth career from the age of 10 until 18. While playing with the Robins, Turner captained the under 16’s and 18s sides. Having moved to Loughborough University, Jack was a key player for their first team at step 5, captaining the side. He then signed for local side Kettering Town before making the move to Stratford Town. He featured 26 times for the Bards and signed a new deal to remain at the club in the summer.

Attenborough was delighted to capture a player with Step 2 and 3 experience over the last 2 campaigns.

"JT is a player I've kept a close eye on over the last few years having watched him come through at the University. He's a rock solid defender who's good on the ball and committed in the tackle. He's got a top, professional attitude and has been a main stay in the Stratford side over the last 2 seasons at step 3 giving him invaluable experience that he now brings with him to Corby. It is another big step in the right direction for us squad wise to bring in another quality player with higher level experience whilst still being a really good age of 23. He's still got the hunger to improve and that bodes well. Welcome to the club JT!"
