North Leigh vs Corby Town | Saturday 19th October | BetVictor Southern Football League Division One Central

The Steelmen head to North Leigh, for our next BetVictor Southern League Division One Central clash.

The Steelmen head into the match on the back on their first cup win since exiting the League Cup, Hillier Cup and FA Cup back to back to back!

Goals from Jordon Crawford, Stephen Diggin, John Dean and Rev 'AJ Tracey' James gave the hosts a 4-1 replay victory over Histon!

Opposition

North Leigh have made a mixed start to the season, sitting in 9th place following 4 wins and 3 defeats from their opening 8 matches. They managed to make it through to the 2nd quaifying round in the Emirates FA Cup, only to fall 7-0 to higher ranked Oxford City.

At home, the Millers have won one match, 2-1 against Wantage, and have lost to Berkhamsted, Halesowen and Bedford Town.

Away from home though, North Leigh are unbeaten, drawing with Thame United before beating St Neots, Kempston Rovers and Coleshill Town!

Last Time We Met

Corby Town faced off against North Leigh in the same league last term. Ashley Robinson led his side to a fine 8-1 win. Braces from Jordon Crawford, Ben Bradshaw and Elliot Sandy, along with a strike from Joel Carta and an Own Goal gave the Steelmen their biggest win of the season.

Elliot Sandy scored one of the goals of the season, taking the ball out of the air and pulling off a Bergkamp'esq turn that was sadly missed by the cameraman who was distracted by a passing plane!!

The reverse fixture took place in March, with the goals from Carta and Diggin sandwiching a hat trick from Jordon Crawford to seal a 5-2 win!
