Corby Town are pleased to welcome John Dean to the club. 25-year-old forward John is a local boy who originally came to the fore with Stewarts & Lloyds FC and Desborough Town in the United Counties League. In November 2017 he joined AFC Rushden & Diamonds on a duel registration with Desborough and made his debut as a substitute against Barton Rovers. John made a total of nine appearances for Diamonds during the remainder of the 2017/18 season - all of them as a substitute.
After coming off the bench in the opening two games of last season he made his first start in a Southern League fixture away to Stourbridge in August 2 018 and scored in a 2-1 defeat. In all John made 32 appearances for Diamonds in 2 018/19, scoring twice, and was in the squad which played Brackley Town in the Northants FA Hillier Senior Cup Final.
He has trained with both Diamonds and Corby in pre-season and has now signed on for the Steelmen. We wish him a long and successful spell here at Steel Park.
