After what seemed a long pre season filled with a mix off good and bad results and performances we finally managed to get our season underway.

The season couldn't have started much tougher with an fa cup tie away to Kempston Rovers.

The boys started very fast with Matt McAllister scoring from a set play in the first minute and for the rest off the first half it was one day traffic with us wasting a hat full off clear chances.
Second half started and we picked up where we finished the first half, controlling the game. Another set play and the same outcome with McAllister getting on the end off it again. With changes being made, we got stronger and stronger as the game went on with Ethan Johnston also getting 2 and Drew Wilkinson scoring a half volley. The scoring was finished off late on by substitute Stuart Gjeta to top off a good first performance of the season but there is definitely more to come from the players we are fortunate to have at the club this season.
We now move onto league action next Thursday when we travel to Kettering fc before the next round off the fa cup at home to Cogenhoe week commencing 17th September.
