Biography

Jamie was born in Werrington and attended the Ken Stimpson School. He first came to prominence in junior football as a member of the successful Abbey Athletic team and at the age of ten was taken on by Cambridge United. After eighteen months there he joined Leicester City and signed a two-year scholarship deal in June, 2011 when aged 16. Jamie captained Leicester's Under-18 youth side which reached the Fifth Round of the F.A Youth Cup in 2012/13 and was a member of the Under-21 team which won their league title under Steve Beaglehole. In June, 2013 he was signed on a professional contract but at the end of 2013/14 he was released by Leicester.
Jamie appeared briefly for Corby Town in a pre-season friendly away to Rushden & Diamonds in July, 2014 but it wasn't until September, 2014 that he finally signed for the Steelmen. He made his competitive debut in central defence in a 4-1 home victory over Paulton Rovers and also appeared at left back and in midfield whilst appearing in 24 of the next 26 games.
In January, 2015 Jamie was loaned out to Holbeach United but returned to Steel Park the following month and re-established a regular first team place alongside Herve Pepe N'Goma in the team which went on to become Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division champions, scoring twice in a season's total of 36 appearances.
Jamie was released in May, 2015 and spent the 2015/16 season with St Neots Town before rejoining the Steelmen in June, 2016. He was appointed captain at the start of 2016/17 but fell out of favour a little when Gary Mills replaced Tommy Wright as manager.
He still ended the campaign with 44 appearances to his name and agreed to sign on for new manager David Bell in May, 2017.
