After 3 weeks without a game and against a side they beat comfortably earlier in the season, there was perhaps an air of rustiness or even complacency as the ladies took to the field, If it were complacency this was quickly knocked out of them when Desford broke away to score the opener in the 2nd minute. From there on in however Corby gradually got control of the game and after Stacey McConville's 14th min equaliser was backed up by Zoe Watkins 19th min header, the game never looked in doubt although Corby were only able to add one more goal when Hannah Marshall set Nicole Andrejczuk on her way to make it 3. Marshall would have a big impact on the second half too, scoring in the 48th min after some fine running by Laura Dodwell, before turning provider for Stacey McConville to add her second on 55 mins. Injuries and substitutions disrupted play for a while before Marshall was on the scoresheet again in the 84th min after being teed up by Nicole Andrejczuk, before returning the favour in the 87th with Marshall sliding in Andrejczuk.
