A successful afternoon for the Steelwomen made better by the welcomed return of Claire Stancliffe after a lengthy spell on the side lines with an ACL injury and the promising debut of youngster Jas Sawyer.
Ladies manager George Joyce was pleased with his side’s second half performance “I thought we were a tad rusty in the first half due to the Christmas break but we found our groove in the second half and scored some fantastic goals. I thought Jas Sawyer was superb on her debut and looked lively throughout and I was really pleased to get Claire back on the pitch after 18 months out”.
Corby now face four consecutive away games with Oadby & Wigston Women up first in league action on Sunday 13th January.
