Steelwomen cap off pre season with resilient comeback victory

The Steelwomen found themselves two goals behind but a side led by vice captain Abi Wisker deputising for the injured Nicole Coull were able to pull off an impressive comeback winning 3-2. The Corby goals coming courtesy of a brace from Ardyn Sanderson and a strike by Mollie Marshall.

Manager George Joyce will be pleased with his team’s resilience and impressive pre season form that resulted in four victories from five games.

The Steelwomen will be looking to continue and build on this momentum when they kick off their league campaign at home to Joyce’s former side Northampton Town Ladies & Girls on Sunday 9th September. The fixture will be played on Pitch 2 at Steel Park with a kick off time of 2pm.
