Corby started brightly and created a hatful of chances before Nicole Coull’s strike in the 38th minute put the Steelwomen deservingly ahead at the half time interval.
Mollie Marshall nearly doubled Corby’s advantage in the 48th minute but was denied by the crossbar. A revitalised Thrapston grew in confidence and Corby struggled to deal with the mounting pressure by conceding an equaliser in the 75th minute, before a speculative cross found the back of the Corby net in the 87th minute.
A disappointing defeat for the Ladies who after the Easter break will face a tough away trip to Loughborough on Wednesday 24th April.
