Corby Town under 10’s had their first ever game today (7th September 2019).
The game was played in great spirit. First half the nerves did affect Corby and Kettering went on the attack. However just before the break Corby started to show more promise they grew into the game, shed the nerves and showed what great potential they have.
Second half was a totally different Corby Town and the game was flipped. Corby went on the attack from the kick off nerves were lost and Corby grew and grew in confidence and really put Kettering under a lot of pressure in the second half.
The team worked together very well and were not afraid in the second half of making tackles closing down the opposition and they counter attacked superbly.
When you talk about a game of 2 half’s this was definitely one of them. Kettering deserving to win the first half and Corby deserving to win the second half.
Of course with it being a friendly and development football at this age the girls had great fun and are already started to show promise. Considering the girls have only been together 1 month and this being their first game. It was an excellent effort.
Well done girls both Phil and Leyla were very impressed with your attitude.
