Corby Town Girls U12 v Daventry Panthers U12

Our U12’s today started there 2021/2022 playing at home to Daventry Town U12’s.

It was a great match from start to finish, we may not have had the best of pre seasons. However all of what has happened previous today was forgotten about as we embark on competitive football. The girls were competitive up and down the pitch. Today was a real team effort, with every player playing their part in what was an excellent game.

Our U12’s today pressed and harried for everything and didn’t give our opposition any time on the ball and that really did help us in opening up the Daventry defence. We were in front of goal time and time again and in the first half the deadlock was broken by an unlucky hand ball in the box and a penalty to Corby. This gave the girls that much needed confidence and by half time Corby were 4-0 to the good.
Second half was very much the same. Corby pressing and opening up the Daventry defence. Some lovely passing and sweeping moves and that aided us in getting another 3 goals before the end of the match. Defensively today we were solid and never gave Daventry a shot on target. Super performance girls.

Final score 7-0 to Corby.
