Under the radiant September sun, Corby Town took to the field in their striking new home kit against Biggleswade.

Within the opening minute, the Biggleswade keeper was called into action twice, setting the tone for what was to come. Leila, the midfield maestro, was at the heart of everything, and just two minutes in, she threaded a perfect pass to LillyMai, who finished with style to give Corby an early lead.

The onslaught continued. By the 6th minute, Iris had doubled the advantage with a sublime finish, and just 30 seconds later, Tia made it 3-0 with a beautifully angled shot after a delightful through ball from Lilly-Ella. Corby were cruising, and the Biggleswade defence was in disarray.

On 15 minutes, Leila set up LillyMai for her second of the game, and straight from the restart, she found Issi, who made it 5-0. Three minutes later, Iris added her second, and Corby were 6-0 up, leaving Biggleswade shell-shocked.

Biggleswade did manage to muster some resistance, pushing forward in search of a foothold in the game. However, the Corby defence stood firm, repelling everything thrown at them. A lengthy stoppage followed as a Biggleswade player went down injured, leading to a switch to 9v9 due to Biggleswade reduced numbers.

The second half mirrored the first, with Corby dominating proceedings. On 51 minutes, Leila finally got her name on the scoresheet with a composed finish. Moments later, she pounced on a loose ball straight from the restart to make it 8-0. The ninth goal came courtesy of a long ball from Redd, which Erin dispatched with precision.

Corby were relentless, showcasing some exquisite passing moves. Chloe’s through ball to Lilly-Ella resulted in the tenth goal. Corby remained unfazed. LillyMai added two more to her tally, making it 12-0, before Leila capped off a sensational performance with two more goals, sealing a 14-0 victory.
