A talent of local teams and quality sides from outside the county took part in this years tournament.
18 teams in the over 50 men and 7 in the over 35s ladies.
Both Corby teams had small squads due to several players being unavailable on the day which meant with first 5 group games it was going to be a long day.
Corby B ( Blues ) got off to a narrow defeat in game 1 after conceding an early penalty for an infringement.
Game 2 was a close affair until Goalkeeper Ray Beeby took the full force of the ball to the face which meant he had to be replaced with an onfield sub.The pressure told on the guys and they suffered their second defeat.
Game 3 was another narrow defeat by Rothwell Aztecs.
Game 4 saw Corby put their first point on the board with a hard fought 1-1 draw with Gordy scoring for Corby against the eventual winners Oundle B.
Game 5 was against Desborough who both sides play together in weekly matches,so was always going to be a cagey affair finishing in 0-0 goalless draw.
Corby A ( Whites ) played local side Desborough A in a narrow 2-1 defeat with Dave Eaton netting for Corby.
Game 2 against Moulton B got off to a good start with Dave Eaton putting Corby 1-0 up but Moulton came back with two goals to secure victory.
Game 3 against Nottingham FC was a bullish contest with many decisions against the Corby side 3 quality strikes by Nottingham gave them an emphatic 3-0 victory.
Game 4 was against Redwell and at last Corby found their form with a quality 4-0 win.

Game 5 was against Oundle A who were undefeated in the group fought out a 1-1 draw with again Alan Revie scoring for the home side.
