Today our Lionesses travelled over the boarder to play Market Deeping in an early kickoff. They are one of the nicest teams with a very friendly management team. It’s always a pleasure to play them.

Today, everything we have been working on over the summer especially with our new formation started to fall into place. Today the girls played some great football. The interplay and passing was on point, the unselfishness to assist each other was great to see and today we witnessed a real team performance.

1st Half we were quick out the blocks but we just didn’t have our shooting boots on. However we eventually took the lead middle of the 1st half. Today we did have to shuffle players around a little due to illnesses in the camp and also with our usual keeper absent Skye took the gloves today.

The first half ended 4-0 to our Lionesses.

Second half started and Deeping threatened more and got a goal back however this spurred us on a little more and we managed to grab a couple of goals and it moved to 6-2. We continued to press and the final score ended with a good 10-2 win and great performance in preparation for next season for our lionesses.

Was great to again see 4 different goal scorers. With Brooke being one of those new to the team was great to see her bagging her first hatrick.

So many plaudits to give today to every player as it really was a team performance. However player of the match went to Aimee who today was unselfish with everything she did and was again unlucky not to be on the score sheet.

Well done girls excellent performance.
