A Fond Farewell to Sandra Kyle

A Fond Farewell to Sandra Kyle

Corby Town26 Apr - 08:50

Thank you Sandra!

As the curtain falls on our 25/26 campaign, we say goodbye to a true cornerstone of Corby Town. After years of unwavering dedication, Sandra Kyle has decided to hang up the Persil and step into a well-earned retirement.

Sandra’s journey with the club began, as so many do, through family and friendship. A warm smile, a kind word, and a willingness to help saw her welcomed into the heart of the club back in 2005, thanks to her brother Gordon. What started in the hospitality room soon found its way to the kit room—where, legend has it, she was first called upon to solve a rather simple yet pressing problem: how to use a washing machine.

From that moment, something clicked.

A few years later, Sandra took on the role of kit manager, and with it brought not just organisation and care, but a spirit that lifted the dressing room. Players came and went, seasons changed, but Sandra remained—a constant presence ensuring every shirt was ready, every kit prepared, every small detail handled with pride.

But her contribution stretched far beyond fabric and folding.

Long after the final whistle, when the stands had emptied and the lights dimmed low, Sandra could still be found at Steel Park—quietly working, tidying, giving her time so that others could arrive to a ground ready to welcome them.

It is often said that true value is only felt in absence—and we know that the mark Sandra leaves behind will be deeply felt by everyone at the club.

Sandra, your years of service, your kindness, and your unwavering commitment have shaped Corby Town in ways words can scarcely capture.

From all of us—players, staff, and supporters alike—thank you.

You will always be part of this club’s story.
