Corby Town First Team
Corby Town Football Club, known as The Steelmen, is a semi-professional football club based in Corby, Northamptonshire. The club plays its home fixtures at Steel Park, in the heart of the town it represents.
Corby Town’s identity is closely connected to Corby’s proud steelworking heritage, reflected in the Steelmen nickname and the club’s traditional black and white colours. Supported by the Black and White Army, the club has a strong local following and remains an important part of the town’s sporting community.
The First Team competes in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division, with the club focused on building a competitive side capable of progressing through the non-league football pyramid.
The team is managed by Leon “Metts” Mettam, a familiar figure at Steel Park who previously represented Corby Town as a player. Metts now leads the First Team as part of the club’s long-term plans to bring sustained success back to Corby.
A New Era at Steel Park
In August 2026, Corby Town entered a new era following a change in ownership. The Three Goats, the hospitality and leisure group founded by Raj Uppal and Ben Cripps, acquired a majority shareholding in the club, with the acquisition also backed by Craig Nolan, founder and co-owner of Corby-based Interkey Contracting. Chris Mallender, who has a long-standing association with Corby Town, became Chairman as part of the new structure.
The new ownership group has set out a long-term vision centred on investment in the First Team, improvements to Steel Park and its hospitality facilities, strengthening the club’s commercial position and creating a football club the town can be proud of.
With a renewed structure both on and off the pitch, Corby Town is working towards sustainable growth while retaining the history, identity and community spirit that have defined the Steelmen.
Supporters can use the First Team section to follow the latest fixtures, results, league standings, squad information, statistics and match reports throughout the season.
