Corby Town 1-2 Sutton Coldfield Town
Corby Town’s season ended in frustration as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Sutton Coldfield Town at Steel Park. The visitors struck first, with James McGrady giving Sutton the lead from a cross by Lekuti. Corby responded well and levelled through Fletcher Toll, who finished confidently to bring the hosts back into the game before the break. The second half saw Corby enjoy spells of pressure and attacking intent, but they were undone once more as Reece Gibson restored Sutton’s advantage with a decisive lob. Despite pushing forward in the closing stages and creating opportunities, Corby were unable to find an equaliser. The result felt harsh on the Steelmen, who showed plenty of effort and quality but lacked the cutting edge at crucial moments.
