Corby Town are delighted to announce the signing of experienced defender Michael Jacklin ahead of the forthcoming season.
The 33-year-old boasts Stamford, Worksop Town, Lincoln United and Grantham Town as some of his former clubs and brings a wealth of experience to the club. He was most recently at Loughborough Dynamo.
Having also played over 50 times in the National League North for Gainsborough Trinity, Jacklin has impressed Lee Attenborough during his career and the manager is delighted to get the centre-back on board.
"I'm delighted to get 'Jaffa' signed. When I got the Corby job he was one of my first phone calls as he is a leader both on and off the pitch and sets a great example, especially to the young lads. He's been in the non-league game a long time and had successful spells at many clubs and played a higher level. He knows what it takes to win games of football at this level. He is a bit of a throw back and the fans will enjoy seeing an aggressive ball winner who loves defending. Hopefully he can nick a few goals at the other end for us too, which he has always been good for in the past."
