Job Title: Community Development Officer Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Organisation: Corby Town Football Club

About the Role

Corby Town Football Club is seeking a motivated and organised Community Development Officer to play a central role in connecting the club’s teams, managers, and board. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about grassroots and community football, with strong communication and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact between individual team managers and the club’s board, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and development across all sections of the club.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between team managers and the club board
• Oversee and support all sections of the club, ensuring alignment with club values and objectives
• Facilitate regular communication, meetings, and updates between stakeholders
• Assist in the development and implementation of community and football programmes
• Support recruitment, retention, and development of players, coaches, and volunteers
• Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and compliance standards are upheld across all teams
• Help organise club events, initiatives, and outreach activities within the local community
• Monitor and report on progress, challenges, and opportunities to the board

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience in sports development, community work, or football environments
• Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Leadership & problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of grassroots football structures and safeguarding requirements

Desirable

• FA coaching or safeguarding qualifications
• Experience working within a football club or community sports organisation
• Project or programme management experience

Personal Attributes

• Passionate about community engagement and football development
• Proactive, approachable, and reliable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible, with availability to work evenings and weekends as required
